SALSA BRAVA.
In the international salsa scene an interesting phenomenon is taking place: the surfacing of bands who are recovering the urban and authentic roots of salsa. These orchestras are formed by young artists who love the hard sound of the 60's and 70's salsa-- which deviates from the purely commercial concept of this genre that has prevailed in recent years-- and are making powerful proposals that recuperate the legacy of the authentic salsa spirit.
LA SUCURSAL S.A.
is the maximum exponent of this phenomenon in Barcelona, a group that after a summer of great national and international performances, and after a grand success in Colombia, it has consolidated itself as a reference of salsa brava and Latin sound in Spain.
Formed by twelve musicians on stage and with a repertoire of their own, their music is characterized both by its lyrical beauty and richness of arrangements. A style of music made for dancing and listening which feed itself from, and pays tribute to, great masters like: Fania All Stars, El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico, La Sonora Ponceña Narvaez Orchestra, Orchestra Dicupe, The Lebron Brothers, Tito Puente, Arsenio Rodriguez, Ismael Rivera, Los Hermanos Palmieri, Ray Barretto, Hector Lavoe, Joe Cuba, Celia Cruz, Johnny Pacheco, Rubén Blades, Willie Colon, Oscar D'Leon and Joe Arroyo.
Fresh and urban salsa, that is reborn in the streets of major cities, from Bogota to New York and Paris to Barcelona, to vindicate the neighborhood culture. La Salsa Brava comes gain to life and LA SUCURSAL S.A. vindicates it from the heart of Barcelona.

THE ALBUM.
In 2009 their first album comes out: “Lo Nuestro BCN Salsa Brava”, with 11 tracks-- ten of their own and a version “La Bien Paga”, for which they counted with the special participation of Marina “La Canillas” lead singer of Ojos de Brujo, and with which LA SUCURSAL S.A pays homage both to the Andalusian copla and mythical Puerto Rican salsa group La Sonora Ponceña. A record that has earned the respect of musicians, critics, dancers and the audience at large and, consequently, has been well received by specialists and salsa lovers at an international level.
Also, the song titled “La sombra” has been included in various compilations around the world: “Solar Latin Club”, directed by DJ Chino (Cali, Colombia); “Salsa” edited by Latin Musik (Switzerland); and in a compilation by Relevant magazine (Barcelona).
